EV charger installation in Marana and Tucson

Level 2 charger circuits for homes and workplaces, with a load calculation first so you know your panel can carry it.

Level 1 and Level 2 charging

Level 1 charging uses a standard 120-volt outlet and adds a few miles of range per hour. Level 2 charging uses a 240-volt circuit and is several times faster, which is why most EV owners choose it for overnight charging at home.

What a Level 2 installation involves

  1. Load calculation. We check that your panel and service can carry the charger along with everything else in the house.
  2. A dedicated 240-volt circuit. The circuit is sized to the charger. A 48-amp charger, for example, needs a 60-amp circuit.
  3. Hardwired or plug-in. The charger is wired directly, or a 240-volt receptacle is installed for a plug-in unit.
  4. Permit and inspection, where the local building department requires them.

If your panel is full

A full or undersized panel does not always rule out a charger. Options include a lower-amperage charger, a load management device that shares capacity with another appliance, or an electrical panel upgrade. The load calculation shows which one fits.

Built for Arizona heat

Charging equipment mounted outdoors needs an enclosure rated for the weather. Where there is a choice, a garage wall or a shaded exterior wall is easier on the equipment through a southern Arizona summer.

We install charger circuits at houses and at businesses that want charging for staff, customers or fleet vehicles.
