Pool electrical problems we repair

We repair the electrical service to your pool equipment, from your home's main panel or subpanel up to the equipment itself. Pool lighting and automation or control systems are outside what we work on.

• Panel to equipment wiring. Breakers at your main panel or subpanel, and the circuit wiring and conduit that run out to the pool equipment pad.
• Pump and motor circuits. A pump that will not start, hums, or keeps tripping its breaker, along with burned terminals and damaged wiring at the equipment pad.
• GFCI protection. Tripping GFCI breakers and receptacles tracked down to the cause, and missing GFCI protection added where pool equipment needs it.
• Bonding and grounding. Broken or corroded bonding conductors repaired so the pool shell, metal parts and equipment stay at the same voltage.

Safety comes first

Water and electricity are a dangerous combination. If you feel a tingle in the water or from a ladder or handrail, keep everyone out of the pool, switch off the pool equipment at the breaker, and call us. For anything that is sparking, smoking or smells like it is burning, use our emergency electrical service.

How a pool wiring repair works

1. Find the fault. We test the wiring from the panel to the equipment, the GFCI protection and the bonding to find what failed and why, not just the symptom.
2. Repair it to code. Pool and spa wiring has its own section of the electrical code, and we repair to it.
3. Test before we leave. Equipment is run and GFCI protection is checked so you know the repair is working.
